Julia Fernandes DaSilva, 85, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren on March 24, 2021. Born in Brava, Cabo Verde she was the daughter of the late Pedro Gomes and Luisa Fernandes Veiga. She is survived by her children, Manuel Coelho and his wife Monica Coelho of California, Zenith DaSilva, wife of her late son Carlos DaSilva Jr., from Florida, Elizabeth McGloin and her husband Timothy McGloin of Pawtucket, Yolanda Henriques of Pawtucket, Eugenia Gomes of Warwick, Walter DaSilva and his wife Violeta DaSilva of Virginia, and Natalia Fleming and her husband Emmett Fleming of South Carolina; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 predeceased great granddaughter, 3 sisters and a brother.
Julia was a devoted mother who loved spending time with her family and friends. A hard-working woman, she enjoyed planting flowers, listening to music, and occasionally trying her luck on scratch tickets. She was an extraordinary woman who loved unconditionally, and she has left us all with unforgettable memories.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday March 26, 2021 from 9:00am-10:30am at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 291 High Street, Pawtucket. Burial will take place at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all who attend are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. The family will not be accepting visitors at the home.
